I mostly grew up in the Bremerton/Poulsbo area. I was never a sports person growing up in fact I hated it. I didn’t understand how people could become so invested in a sports team then I watched a World Cup match and was enamored. A few years later I was at an S2 match in Tacoma where ECS was kicked out, IYKYK, and it was such a disservice to both the fans and the players but I could still hear them outside the stadium but S2/Defiance matches were never the same after that. I joined ECS the next day and they have they have been stuck with me ever since.
Since joining I have volunteered for virtually anything that I could; tifo crew, tifo production, merch, marketing, partnerships. If I had not been made lead I would still probably be volunteering for something else. I have grown to love this group and everything they stand for. They have helped me grow more passionate about the Sounders and life.
