Who We Are
The Armed Services Group (ASG) is the official Military sub-group of the ECS. We are a group of individuals joined by our love of country, service and Sounders! Our members are active duty, guard, reserves, separated and retired service members, their families and all those that support the Armed Services. We not only have members in the Puget Sound area, but all over the United States and around the world.
History
The ASG was established in the 2009 inaugural season. The main purpose of the ASG is to grow support for the Seattle Sounders among our fellow military service members and families.
What We Do
In addition to Away Match Viewings and Happy Hours, the ASG is also involved in the community. ASG members have the opportunity to be a part of the On-field events during Military Appreciation Day, Memorial Day, Veterans Day, and occasionally other matches throughout the year. Every year, ASG will ‘adopt’ another military-focused non-profit and donate a portion of all sales to them. Such partners have included Operation Supply Drop, 22 KILL, and the Fisher House on JBLM. We will make sure to include our partnered organization with whatever events we can and will even be sure to showcase their logo alongside ours on our shirts, hoodies, and scarves!
How To Join
To join ASG all you need is a bona-fide connection the US military and/or Allied Forces. Visit the "Muster Up and Roll Call" thread in the ASG Sub-forum. Sign up in the thread and you're a member!
Where We Meet
For all away matches, we will normally partner with several other subgroups. 253 Defiance watches at Wingman Brewers, and of course we have Fuel, Temple, and The Atlantic Crossing in Seattle. Since our members are all around the world, please feel free to let us know where you watch the matches so that we can post on our social media and try to align with others to create more of a Sounders / ECS / ASG community around the US and World.
