Who We Are
West Sound Armada is a regional sub-group for members living on the West Side of Puget Sound. We are primarily based in Kitsap County, but we welcome ECS members living anywhere on the Olympic Peninsula. We currently have members from Gig Harbor, Port Orchard, Bremerton, Silverdale, Bainbridge Island, Poulsbo, Kingston, Port Townsend, Port Angeles and all points in between. If you take a ferry to the match, this is the sub-group for you.
History
West Sound Armada was formed in the months leading up to the 2010 MLS season by eight ECS members living Kitsap County. Most of us had never met before and the connection was made on the ECS forums. Soon after we had organized a pub to watch away matches and we made our first ferry crossing to the pre-season match against Portscum in March 2010.
What We Do
West Sound Armada seeks to serve three basic functions for our members. We provide a place to meet and watch away matches together, we coordinate supporters to ride together to the home matches on the Washington State Ferries and we coordinate pre-funk locations in Seattle before home matches. We believe that this serves our purpose as a regional sub-group and we support the philosophy and activity of matchday support defined by ECS leadership when we are in the stadium.
How To Join
The first step to joining the West Sound Armada is to join the ECS. You can do so in person in the stadium on match day or online at weareecs.com. Once you're an ECS member, just come to one of our away viewings and we'll get you setup with a WSA scarf.
